Big’s dated team snapshot, course debate and a crew visit
At 7:27 a.m. CDT on October 20, after 72 completed yards, the provisional team board showed Australia ahead of the U.S., Japan and Belgium. Dead Cow Gully and Backyard Ultra Podcast questioned the U.S. daytime course change. Spain’s rescheduling date and restart scoring were unestablished. Theo Von crewed Mark Dowdle for one yard.
Mizuno described reaching 54 laps and 362 km before a planned two-minute nap became 20 minutes. His account of the effort ending is distinct from the race’s eventual winner or the earlier live checkpoint.
McCormack and Christie were the last two remaining after Komatsu failed to return for the start of loop 64. Earlier loop-55 and loop-44 counts and Crawford’s exit at 43 yards remain historical checkpoints; this item does not identify the eventual winner.
TUM’s June 24, 2025 snapshot said eight runners remained after 86 loops at Dead Cow Gully, and 87 reached 100 miles. This is an intermediate checkpoint, not the final winner, final loop count or current event status.
